The trooper stopped following me after I went through several different parts of McCarran, and went back to the camp entrance. Now when I headed back to Camp McCarran, both of them were waiting for me at the camp entrance and started to follow me once again. They followed my other companion and I around for a while and disappeared at some point (don't remember what exactly caused them to leave). So a while ago I used the emergency radio NCR gives you after getting a positive rep with them and I called both an NCR trooper and a ranger.
